Conspiracies in Beverly Hills: Bugsy Siegel

While cruising over to work, I decided I would make a little stop in Beverly Hills to see the infamous house where the late Bugsy Siegel was killed.

Over at 810 N. Linden, on the night of June 20, 1947, as Siegel sat with in this Beverly Hills home reading the LA Times, an unknown assailant fired at him through the window, hitting him many times, including twice in the head. Still today, no one has been charged with his murder.

It is claimed that Siegel was shot in the eye, but he was actually struck twice on the right side of his head. Both death scene and postmortem photographs clearly show that one shot penetrated his right cheek and exited through the left side of his neck; the other struck the right bridge of his nose where it met the right eye socket. Over pressure created by that bullet’s striking and passing through Siegel’s skull blew his left eye out of its socket. And vomit…now.  Ewwww…gross!

The day after Siegel’s death, the Los Angeles Herald-Express ended up posting a picture of the the dead bodies big toe, with the toe tag, dangling on their front page!  Many speculate that the mob ended up having Siegel killed due to his excessive spending and bringing the mob into debt.
