The Humane Society of Hamilton County is a place that is very dear to my heart. Located in Noblesville,  Indiana, this shelter does more than just find homes for homeless pets. They help rehabilitate animals that have been dumped at the shelter’s door, pets that have been hit by a car and need to learn how to walk again, abused by others and need to learn to trust again, or have been abandoned and left for dead and need nourishment to live again.

I have been privileged enough to have been able to volunteer there in the past and being able to witness first hand how they practice what they preach. They strive to educate the community on proper animal care, to help with the injustice that the pittbull breed receives from the media, and to find a home for every animal that walks through their doors.

If you, or someone you know is considering bringing a new family member into your lives, please always consider adoption over shopping. This humane society is an amazing place, so check them out today, even if it is just to walk through and see for yourselves.
