Half Baked

Sugar. Spice. And everything nice. These are the secret ingredients to a happy heart.

The other day I was driving around Burbank, just randomly seeing the town, when I had to pull over for a sandwich board that read “Vegan Cupcakes!”

Cupcakes? Vegan? Yes please. In this cute, tiny, unsuspecting building was a little bakery called Half Baked. You would never have guessed it from the outside and it would be very easy to pass right by it never knowing that there was deliciousness right inside.


After being warmly greeted by the girl behind the counter, I was overwhelmed with the wonderful choices that lay behind the class.


Lured in by the French macarons and a dulce de leche cupcake, I was not disappointed. The cupcakes were the perfect size and quite simple, but the highlight was by far the macaron. It was huge and crispy and soft and amazing!
